The Palestinian Associations Network holds its second meeting to promote cooperation and integration between institutions

The Network of Associations and Institutions Working in the Palestinian Society held its second meeting in Beirut, with the participation of representatives of a number of Palestinian associations and institutions, with the aim of following up on enhancing cooperation and coordination among members and developing joint projects.

The meeting focussed on reviewing the results of the first meeting, discussing the progress made in the exchange of experiences and promoting integration between associations, in addition to addressing ongoing challenges in the areas of financing, management, and project archiving.

They also discussed the development of the organisational structure of associations and the updating of the joint database, which includes project ideas, association experiences and funders’ conditions, to ensure the benefit of all members and improve the quality of joint work.

With regard to UNRWA, it was emphasised that the follow-up of sensitive issues related to the provision of basic projects and programmes for refugees by intermediary institutions, while alerting to the danger of any evasion of the agency’s responsibilities and its impact on the continuity of basic services. The meeting stressed the need to adhere to all existing UNRWA services and work to lobby for increased support and services provided to refugees.
