Because Tyre deserves it… Your hand makes a difference”
A volunteer campaign to clean the corniche and beach of the city of Tyre with wide community participation

Under the sponsorship of Tyre Municipality, and at the invitation of Diyaruna Association, Mahdi Mannaa Designer, and Sur la Plage Restaurant & Café, a volunteer environmental campaign was organized on the morning of Friday, July 24, 2026, under the slogan “Because Tyre deserves it… Your hand makes a difference,” with wide participation from local institutions and associations, sports clubs, scout teams, ambulance and civil defense units, volunteers, and the residents of Tyre, along with children, youth, and the Diyaruna Association team from Bourj Al-Shamal and Rashidieh camps.

The campaign activities began at 9:00 a.m., starting with an introductory meeting and a cup of coffee in an energetic atmosphere accompanied by music, before participants gathered and started cleaning along the corniche and the beach of Tyre.

The campaign aimed to remove waste from the seafront, among the rocks, and along the beach, as well as raise awareness about the importance of protecting the marine environment, promote a culture of public cleanliness, and instill values of social responsibility and volunteer work, especially among children and youth.

Participants emphasized that protecting the environment is everyone’s responsibility.
