The fourteenth meeting in a series of consultative meetings organized by the National Commission for Lebanese Women, to determine interventions within the second national action plan to implement Resolution 1325 on women, peace and security.
Mrs. Claudine Aoun, President of the National Commission for Lebanese Women, and representatives from the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities and the network of local youth organizations and women’s rights organizations that were established participated in the meeting.
Within the joint program implemented by the National Authority in partnership with the “Search for Common Ground” organization, within the framework of the regional program on “Women, Youth, Peace and Security,” which is funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA). During the meeting, the priorities of the second national action plan were reviewed, and then interventions were identified.
